On Friday April 8th, the Urban Knight volleyball team said hello to the Tenderloin of SF for a little community service.
Youth with a Mission, is a church non profit organization that gets people involved in many charitable events all around the world. In San Francisco, on every second Friday of the month, YWAM goes out into the tenderloin to serve hot chocolate to the homeless that live there.

Before the girls set out they got a briefing on what to expect and how to interact with the homeless on the street. Some started to feel a bit weirry, but with a heart of gold and courage of a lion they make their hot chocolate and set out on the most dangerous parts of SF.

When they meet back up at the end of the night, the team realized how their assumptions of the ones that live on the streets where not what they thought. Some ended coming back with stories that would last them a life time. But the one thing they can all agree on, is that they wont think of the Tenderloin the same again and of the people that call those streets home.
